Saturday, May 14th the Common Table is hosting a “Belgian Tea Party”. Old beer will be dumped like so much tea into the Boston Harbor, and to mark this occasion they’ll be offering a whole host of rare Belgian Ales, and Belgian style ales. Oh, and they’ll also be dumping, yes, dumping, their last Keg of Stella Artois.
Coming soon to the Flying Saucer on the Lake, at Ray Hubbard, the release parties for two of Brewdog’s biggest beers. This Scottish brewery has quickly become infamous for both it’s daring beers, and it’s outlandish methods of promoting them. Recently two of their strongest beers including the 32% Tactical Nuclear Penguin and the 41% IPA Sink The Bismark became available in the area. If the high alcohol or the high prices have kept you away from your own bottle, then the Saucer has the solution.
This April 26th, head out to the Holy Grail Pub in Plano to try some of the finest beers from Canada’s finest brewery Unibroue on tap, and take home a Unibroue glass for your troubles. Offerings include Tres Pistoles, Maudite, and most impressively, the infamous Terrible. Event starts at 6pm.
Sams Beer and Wine in Carrollton will be hosting a Stone Tasting event, Friday the 15th of April. They’ll be tasting several beers along with a representative from Stone. They’re also selling the recently released Belgo OG, and the Double Bastard, in addition to the Stone/Pizza Port/Green Flash collab, Highway 78 Scotch Ale.
Popular Hawaiian brewpub Maui Brewing Company has finally made it into Texas. After a lot of speculation and anticipation, and the usual TABC delays, Maui has finally shipped canned six packs of some of their most popular beers to Texas. The available line up includes their CoCoNut Porter, Big Swell IPA, and more.
California-based hop mavens Green Flash are touring Texas this week, making a stop at every Flying Saucer in the state. They’re bringing with them a variety of kegs, casks and a few firkins of their products as well including their Imperial IPA, their Tripel, their Double Stout, and more.
May 7th will bring with it the Second Annual Spring Beer Festival at the Flying Saucer Lake Ray Hubbard. These Saucer Beer fests are always great events and a lot of fun. Expect at least 5 beers tents with 4 or 5 beers on tap at each tent, some of which are expected to be exceedingly rare.
The Common Table in Dallas will be tapping 11 Stone Beers at 11 AM on April 16th. Both the Belgo Old Guardian and the Double Bastard will be among the featured tappings. Check the Calender for a little more information on some of the beers that will be available.
At long last, the Double Bastard has arrived in DFW. After years of trouble with the TABC, Stone’s Double Bastard has finally been label approved and is beginning to arrive on DFW area shelves as of April 6th. Places like Lone Star Beverages in Carrollton are among the first to get a shipment, but it should be widely available at most retail sites dealing in fine craft beer shortly.
