Avery and Dogfish Head are all the rage this week in DFW, and apparently, so are super strength beers with 3 different beers weighing in at over 15% available at 5 different tappings. Dogfish Head 120 is being tapped at 3 different locations, so pick a bar and go drink some! As previously mentioned, the Holy Grail Pub in Plano is tapping it Tuesday the 17th, at 6.
The same night, you’ll also be able to get some DFH 120 at the very recently opened World of Beer in Arlington, though at 18% I recommend against having it at both places unless you’ve got a designated driver and the next day off work.
Then, Friday the 20th of January, the Flying Saucer on the Lake over in Garland will be tapping the DFH 120 as well.
And in the aforementioned Avery news, in addition to the beer dinner at the Common Table along with Saint Arnorld, the Meddlesome Moth is having their very own Avery beer dinner the following day. That’d be Wednesday the 18th for those of you who haven’t kept up. This event is sure to cell out, and sure to amaze on both food and beer spectrum’s, so don’t miss out. Actually, I’m assuming that most of you reading this who plan to go, already have their reservations. If not, be sure to give them a call!
Also all this week is Avery Week at the Flying Saucer in Addison. Every night this week, from the 16t-20th of January, they’re tapping a special Avery beer. Tappings include New World Porter, Hog Heaven, and later in the week, they’re even tapping 16%+ Behemoths The Beast ( Thursday ) and Mephistopheles Stout. ( Friday )
So? …Go drink some!
