More Dallas Beer Week Greatness continues this Wednesday, November 16th!
Wednesday, it sounds like the most interesting event is going to be happening up at the Holy Grail Pub. They’re going to be putting on a blind tasting, which they’re calling their “Ultimate Blind Beer Challenge”. It sounds like a very cool, very fun event! Essentially it’s a four round competition, each with four mystery beers. Just how well do you think you know your craft beer, anyway? Only one way to find out! There’s a prize for the winner, too, so go outsmart your fellow beer nerds!
Entry fee is only $15 dollars and the event starts around 7-7:30 if I’ve heard correctly. Might as well get there early and have a warm up beer! And don’t forget to stick around after the event for Trivia night!
Of course there are other events too, hit the jump to read on!
The Common Table in Dallas and the Gingerman Dallas will be teaming up for a “Progressive vertical tasting” of Ommegang’s delicious Three Philosophers. The beers start as old as the 2004 vintage and move up from there. The first beers will be poured at the Common Table starting at 6pm, and then the event will move to the Gingerman around 7pm where the second half the beers will be tasted.
Over at the Idle Rich Pub, they’ll teach you how to pour your own pint of Guinness.
Trinity Hall will be featuring a Deep Ellum beer dinner, but I can’t promise it’s not already sold out.
And over at the Meddlesome Moth, their own concurrent but separate beer week continues as well with tappings of Texas’ own Real Ale WT3F? ( Worth it, trust me! ) They’ll also be pouring, and comparing, Dogfish Head 120 against Ska’s Modus Head, a cask conditioned version. Nice!
And as always, there’s even more going on then we can list, so head on over to www.dallasbeerweek.com and check it out!
