Saturday, November 12 is the official start of Dallas Beer Week. This is a pretty monumental occasion, because let’s be honest with ourselves. As craft beer fans, none of us ever thought we’d hear the words “Dallas” “Beer” and “Week” all put together, in that order in the same sentence. Well, unless the sentence was “I live in Dallas and I drank craft beer all week.”
But, the craft beer movement and the Texas Craft beer movements have come a long ways. And after a lot of hard work on behalf of our friends Jay and Cathy and many others, Dallas Beer Week is finally here.
There will be some awesome events every day of the week, and we at DFWHops will do our very best to keep you updated.
Of course, you can also get updated information straight from the source by visiting our friends at http://dallasbeerweek.com/ where they’ve got all the scoop on all the events.
But since you’re here, here’s what’s going on Day 1 ( Nov 12th ):
First off, is the Deep Ellum Brewing Co Launch Party at the Common Table. See previous post for more information.
Franconia Brewing is hosting their own DBW launch party that starts at 2pm. In addition to their usual Saturday Tours, they’ll have live music, an will be tapping an Oak Aged Version of their Fall’n Bock.
Also, the Ginger Man in Dallas will be having their 20th Anniversary Party. That’s a long time selling great craft beer, so why don’t you go help them Celebrate? Details are a little bit under wraps but expect some delicious beers being tapped as well as music and likely, all sorts of shwag being given out. Shwing!
